University Of Florida Improves Lab-Animal Tracking
Featuring August Battles, veterinarian and director of animal-care services, University of Florida 1/24/2008The University of Florida (UF) is employing an RFID system to track thousands of rodents housed for research and experimentation. The college had been testing and expanding the system for the past year, and currently tracks about 6,000 cages of laboratory rats and mice, with plans to track all 11,000 cages in its custody by March 1, 2008. Portuguese Book Megastore Deploys Item-Level RFID System
Featuring João Vilaça, director, Creativesystems 1/24/2008Portuguese book retailer Byblos has deployed an item-level RFID system in its new Lisbon store, Byblos Amoreiras, to track 250,000 books, games and videos. Byblos opened the 50,000- square-foot store for the Christmas shopping season with what Byblos COO Rui Gaspar calls the best technology available to enhance customer experience. Eco-Friendly Clothing Store Plans To Debut With RFID

Army Medical Center Looking To Boost Asset Awareness
