Xerafy And RFsense Collabrate For RFID Tool Tracking Solution For Embraer S.A.

Xerafy and RFsense provide an automated tool locator for Embraer to reduce lost and stolen tools and increase efficiency.

RFsense, and Xerafy, a global provider of rugged passive RFID on-metal tags, has been selected by Embraer S.A. to deliver a fully automated RFID solution for wireless tracking and tracing of tools and instruments, enabling Embraer to improve productivity, generate significant cost savings and improve security. Embraer S.A. is the world's largest manufacturer of commercial jets up to 120 seats and headquartered in San Paulo, Brazil.

The automated tool tracking solution will have the ability for increasing efficiency and reducing FOD risks by narrowing the search area to quickly locate the missing tool. The efficiencies made possible by RFID tool tracking solution has already allowed Embraer to improve their tool inventory management process by faster workflow processes, reduced paperwork, and the elimination of error-prone data entry with automatic tools and parts tracking. In addition to tool tracking, Embraer will expand the use of RFID technology in other areas as well.
