WJ Introduces New MPR7050 RFID Reader Module For The Hong Kong Market

(NASDAQ-WJCI), a leading designer and supplier of RF solutions for the wireless infrastructure and RFID reader markets, today announced the availability of the Gen2 UHF MPR7050, a high-performance multi-protocol reader module that supports Hong Kong's UHF regulations. The MPR7050 delivers a cost- effective, easy-to-integrate platform to enable OEM RFID mobile devices such as, handhelds, printers, forklift readers, and portal readers.

Product Overview
The 1.0 Watt MPR7050 reader module operates over the specified Hong Kong UHF frequency band (920-925 MHz) and includes the RF, digital circuitry and embedded firmware required for EPC Class 0, EPC Class 1 Gen1 and 0+ Zuma, and ISO18000-6C (UHF Gen2) international standards operation. The MPR7050 leverages the common PCMCIA Type II package with 3.3V CMOS levels (up to 5V) serial communications. This product is designed to be plugged into a PCMCIA Type II socket wired for serial communications and to be operated via a WJ provided Graphical User Interface (GUI) program. WJ's MPR7050 reader module's simple but powerful command set allows for fast creation of custom applications via an open-source DLL.
