Video: United Airlines Introduces The RFID Chip

United Airlines is now testing a solution that is hoped to save frequent flyer passengers a significant amount of time spent checking in their bags. An RFID-enabled luggage tag is affixed to frequent flyers' bags and the traveler can simply "drop their luggage off" at a dedicated baggage check line. The intent is for the traveler to spend only about 30 seconds checking bags while the airline still maintains a high level of baggage security and efficiency.
