Eugene, OR (PRWEB) - Datalogic introduces the new 2128P RFID hand held reader to its RFID family of products. This new device expands the capabilities of the Memor™ 10 PDA, adding unmatched UHF RFID reading, writing and locating capabilities and delivering even more value from this innovative device.

The 2128P RFID hand held reader puts best-in-class UHF RFID reading and writing performance in the hands of workers for faster and more accurate inventory management. This Datalogic reader boasts 34 dBm of maximum RF output power extending the nominal read range to 9 meters; this provides a 33% longer read range than other similar units on the market. When connected with the Memor™ 10 PDA, the combination makes it easier than ever to increase the accuracy of inventory in Retail, Transportation & Logistics, Manufacturing and Healthcare applications.

The device offers sophisticated user feedback, embedded processes and accelerometers. These features make the RFID reader highly configurable and compliment its “search and find” capability, the most in-depth currently available on the market. Enhanced visual and audio indicators help locating hard to find RFID tagged assets. In addition, the system incorporates tag de-duplication software that automatically removes any duplicated tag reads instantly, improving reading performance and facilitating data flow.

The 2128P RFID reader is very easily connected directly to the Memor™ 10 PDA using an ePop-Loq® mount. The mount enables an ultra-secure wired connection for data transfer and creates a one-piece UHF RFID scanning solution. Battery recharging is simplified and accelerated; the RFID reader and the PDA charge simultaneously in one charging station – without the need to disconnect devices as is required by other solutions on the market.

The 2128P RFID tag reader offers offline storage on a 32 GB Micro SD card where up to 500 million transponder EPCs can be stored. It comes packaged with useful applications and tools making it ready to go out-of-the-box. With the Memor™ 10 coupled to the 2128P RFID hand held reader, users have an ergonomic solution for inventory control that is ideal for applications in Retail, Transportation & Logistics, Manufacturing and Healthcare.
