Sirit Inc. Rolls Off 250,000th RFID Reader From Production Line

Sirit Inc. (TSX: SI), a leading provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, today announced that it has achieved a market milestone as over a quarter of a million of its leading RFID readers have been shipped to date, including readers from both the IDentity and INfinity series of products.

During the second quarter of 2005, Sirit surged into the number one market share spot worldwide for EPC UHF handheld modules, with total shipments year to date of over 1,500 units including an order of 1,000 units for deployment by a major OEM for a retail application. Cited by OEM customers worldwide for reliability, ease of integration and high level of technical design support, Sirit's range of RFID readers are available in several different configurations with varying frequency and protocol capabilities.

The Sirit readers have been applied to applications in supply chain, logistics, product verification, cashless payments & retail inventory control, to name a few.
