Can I adjust the PureRFid Reader's range and how is it done?

Yes, the PRF-RDR-101 Reader range is adjusted by using a computer and the PRF-RRADJ-KIT cable. Simply connect the cable to the RS232 terminal block on the reader and to a computer. Change the mode select jumpers for terminal mode and press reset button. Then use Windows Hyperterminal to access the built-in console menu. This console allows you to adjust the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) filter value to increase or decrease the range. Readers are factory set to maximum range.
