STid Launches Secured Proximity Reader: Mifare Plus / DESFire EV1 / NFC
Established as a pioneer in RFID field and as french leader on the contactless identification market, STid launches a high security reader for access control applications compliant with NXP new technologies: Mifare Plus and DESFire EV1.
A reader with a high security level for access control applications
The Mifare Plus/ DESFire EV1 LXS reader assures a very high security level between the card, the reader and the management system.
Confidentiality and integrity of communications is assured:
- Between the card and the reader thanks to encryption keys and cryptography algorithms of Mifare Plus and DESFire EV1
- Between the reader and the management system thanks to the secured protocol developed by STid (STid Secure Common Protocol) and using standard algorithms (AES and HMAC – SHA1) for a maximum security level and fast authentications.
High performances
The LXS is fully compliant with ISO14443A (Mifare ultralight C, Mifare Classic, Mifare Plus, DESFire EV1), ISO14443B (Calypso, GTML2...) and ISO18092 (NFC) standards. Communication performances are regular even when installed on metal (up to 8cm)
Easy implementation in existing systems
STid offers different development kits to ease the implementation of Mifare Plus/ DESFire EV1 technologies. This enables STid customers to easily and quickly integrate the reader in their systems.
Moreover, the retro compatibility of Mifare Plus reader enables a gradual upgrade from Mifare Classic to the new secured Mifare Plus.
High resistant reader
Its self extinguishing polycarbonate waterproof box makes it one of the sturdiest of the market and enables an inside and outside installation.
