RFIDSpan Technology Launches PC Based RFID ALE Middleware Box Appliance

Los Angles - RFIDSpan Technology, a leading developer of RFID Antennas Networking technology, today announced the launch of a PC based RFID ALE Middleware Box Appliance. The appliance comes with fully installed Fosstrak Open source RFID software platform as well as the MySQL Database server. The Fosstrak software implements the GS1 EPC Network specifications and can help the users easily creating EPC global network and deploying the enterprise RFID based business solution (asset tracking, inventory control, inventory management).
The Fosstrak Middleware is tailored to work together with iReader-998 LLRP reader. With the bundle of ALE Box Appliance and the iReader-998, the users can create RFID business solution focusing on business logic information and dealing with tag business information stored in MySQL database server instead of dealing with low level RFID tags information.
According to Albert Hong, the VP of RFIDSpan Technology, the combination of iReader-998 and the RFID ALE Box Appliance should provide a more turn-key solution for users to create RFID based enterprise business applications. In addition, the capability of iReader-998 of supporting hundreds of antennas can significantly lower the RFID sensor based enterprise business applications that need many read points without the need of buying a whole bunch of expensive RFID readers.
