RFID TagSource Launches AeroTag Specialty RFID Tags For Aerospace And Defense

New High Memory Passive Tags Designed to Support Air Transport Association Standards

RFID TagSource, a leading provider of RFID tagging solutions for high value assets, recently announced the development of the AeroTag family of high memory passive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags. These new tags have been developed within the guidelines put forth by the Air Transport Association (ATA) and will meet ATA Spec2000 and SAE-AS5678 specifications. With 4 kilobytes of memory and a lightweight rugged design, these tags are particularly well-suited for manufacturers supporting the Airbus A350 XWB RFID initiative.

The new AeroTag product line features integrated circuits from Tego, the premier provider of high memory passive RFID chip solutions that meet the ATA Spec2000 specification. AeroTags outfitted with Tego silicon can be configured to store up to 32 kilobytes of data.

The AeroTag products will be available in several configurations to meet specific customer needs. Pre-production tags are available now with full production quantities available in the first quarter of 2011.
