RFID Reader/Writer Resistant To Collision

GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has released its 902MHz Gen2 RFID reader/writer. The optimized RFID reader/writer is integrated with a Unitech RH767 rugged mobile computer. This read/write unit is specially designed for applications in access control, asset tracking, warehouse management and livestock tracking. The reader is compact and lightweight in design with the mobile workforce in mind.

This portable RFID reader/writer, model 246003, provides barcode reading capability. It is equipped with a high resolution TFT color LCD screen and a full alphanumeric software keyboard barcode scanner. It offers a maximum reading distance of 1.8m and a data transferring rate of up to 640kbps and employs an anti-collision algorithm in order to simultaneously read a large number of tags. The RFID reader/writer is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery via 12V DC external adapter and works continuously for up to 12 hours. In addition, the read/write unit offers a 64MB memory for both SDRAM and flash ROM.
