RFID Award: ADASA Wins CMP's "Excellence In RFID Technology" Award With Help Of Quatech's Airborne WiFi Module Inside Winning SmartCartridge And PAD3500

ADASA Inc., licensers of RFID tag encoding technology, was just announced the winner of CMP's Excellence in RFID Technology Award. ADASA took first place out of 96 applications submitted by vendors and end users of RFID products and services with the help of Quatech's Airborne 802.11 Wireless Device Server Module built inside. Adasa is a technology partner with Quatech, a wholly owned subsidiary of DPAC Technologies Corp and a leader in 802.11 wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity solutions.

The "RFID Excellence in Business Award" is presented at the world's largest event focused on radio frequency identification and advanced track and trace technologies, RFID World. CMP Technology, host of RFID World, and RFID Revolution, provider of state-of-the-art RFID education tools, co-founded the awards program to showcase achievement, innovation and unique applications that illustrate the power and functionality of radio frequency identification.

ADASA's SmartCartridge and PAD3500 products were awarded the grand prize because of the low-cost, wearable, mobile encoder that supports the encoding of RF tags anywhere, anytime. The ingenious device enables hands-free loading and encoding of RF tags with the help of Quatech's Airborne 802.11 modules that network-enable the device to talk to the RFID label printer and inventory mainframe computer that houses all the data.
