RFID Antenna: MTI Wireless Edge To Exhibit Second Generation Near Field Antenna At The RFID EPC Connection 2007

MTI Wireless Edge recently announced that their second generation Near Field antenna will be on show at MTI booth 201, RFID EPC Connection – Chicago, IL Oct 2 to Oct 4, 2007.

MTI Wireless Edge, a leader in the development, production and marketing of high quality, cost effective, flat panel antennas for RFID applications now adds this new Patent Pending near field antenna with the ability to read small tags and tags that are attached to liquids.

The new unique patent pending antenna design is a highly sensitive active antenna designed to read small Near Field Tags (around 10 mms diameter and larger). The antenna produces uniform field strength over a defined area up to a range of 50mm (larger area for larger tags). The tags can be mounted on metal or liquid items. For discrete mounting the antenna has a thin format of around 20mm thickness suitable for mounting inside a shelf.

The targeted applications are display and smart shelves and POS. The antenna is available as an off the shelf antenna and as a module that can be modified to meet customers size requirements.
