Packaging World Features FineLine's RFID Solutions
FineLine Technologies is featured in Packaging World for providing the RFID solution that enabled Paris Corp. to successfully meet Walmart’s RFID tagging mandate.
FineLine Technologies, a global provider of RFID-integrated labels, tags, and packaging, was recently featured in Packaging World, the leading media brand for packaging professionals. The article highlights how FineLine enabled Paris Corp. to successfully implement an RFID system by timely delivering embedded RFID labels to apply to their products along with a quality control tool to achieve Walmart’s RFID compliance.
After exploring various suppliers, Paris Corp. selected FineLine as their RFID partner due to their comprehensive approach. Berdj Mazmanian, Senior Product Manager at Paris Corp., said he chose FineLine as their RFID tag supplier because, “In addition to offering the right pricing, FineLine was also able to meet both Paris’ in-house needs as well as those of its suppliers. ‘They seemed best suited to handle all four of those prongs of the project.’”
FineLine Technologies was able to design and tailor RFID tags embedded into pressure-sensitive labels to meet Paris Corp’s specific product needs. This ensured that Paris Corp. could efficiently tag their products to comply with Walmart’s requirements while simultaneously improving their inventory management and supply chain visibility.
With years of experience in retail RFID, FineLine was also able to identify the need for a cost-effective tool to verify the RFID tags applied. As a result, FineLine started offering their customers a simple RFID quality control app called QCtrak as part of their RFID solution.
The QCtrak app was provided to Paris Corp. to check the readability of their tags and ensure the RFID data was encoded correctly before being shipped out. After it was installed on a smartphone, “Mazmanian used a tutorial provided by FineLine and was able to master QCtrak in 15 minutes. He’s now able to verify ‘any RFID tag in the plant for any purpose,’ he says. Paris is using QCtrak for batch inspection and to inspect the first and last tags on a run to confirm the program and serialization are correct.”
By providing advanced tools like QCtrak alongside their RFID labels, tags, and packaging, FineLine continues to serve customers with the latest technology to achieve RFID compliance and operational efficiency.
