New Multi-Level ID Scanning Solution With NFC Verification Launched By OCR Studio

OCR Studio, a provider of ID scanning solutions, has announced its new technology for advanced ID verification from smartphones and tablets. The system instantly scans data and performs cross-validation with full ePassport NFC-chip reading while staying adherent to ISO and ICAO standards (ISO/IEC 7501-1 / ICAO Document 9303). This AI-tool provides robust, rapid, and fully compliant identity checks and helps governmental services and financial institutions perform remote user verification using mobile devices at a dedicated hardware systems level.

The new technology instantly scans and extracts data from Visual Inspection Zone (VIZ), Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ) and NFC-chip which also contains all holder’s information including nationality, name, document number, issuing state, sex, birth date, photo, digital signature, etc. Then the algorithm conducts document integrity checks and verifies its authenticity by comparing VIZ, MRZ, and NFC-chip data. The system supports any Passport or ID card compliant with the international ISO and ICAO standards.

For multi-level security the solution incorporates selfie ID verification by comparing the document photo with a real-time selfie of the user, confirming that the person is genuinely present and is the real holder of the document. Present technology allows remote customer service and defends against impersonation and fraudulent use of stolen credentials.
