Metalcraft today announced availability of their Universal Mini RFID Asset Tags designed to fit where other tags cannot while delivering excellent read ranges regardless of the mounting surface. The small, durable products also feature custom printing of barcodes and other information on the label.
The Universal Mini RFID Asset Tag is a surface independent tag that uses a patented inlay design and passive RFID technology to obtain a read range of approximately 12 feet. At just 2.75 inches long by 0.75 inches wide and just .05 inches thick, it remains the lowest profile among metal mount tags. The inlay adheres to a durable, flexible label with subsurface printing that protects barcode, logo and other information chemicals and abrasion.
“The only thing miniature about Metalcraft’s new tag is its size,” said Metalcraft president and CEO Steve Doerfler. “Metalcraft’s Universal Mini RFID Asset tags have outperformed our expectations as a single, durable RFID tag suitable for a range of items in an asset tracking application. The size and read range set it apart from other tags in its class.”
Metalcraft now offers three Universal RFID products to deliver a ‘one-tag-fits-all’ solution for most applications; the Universal RFID Asset Tag and Universal RFID Hard Tag are durable performers when attached to metal, plastic and wooden assets.
