GAO Embedded has launched this low frequency RFID reader module designed to be a direct replacement for magnetic stripe reader modules to convert existing applications and hardware to RFID technology. This module allows existing installations to retain most of their hardware infrastructure and change to more secure RFID technology.

This RFID reader module, model 711001, operates at a frequency of 125 kHz and reads EM compatible transponders at a distance of up to 80mm under ideal conditions. It has passed CE and FCC technical certification and is available with several frequencies and RFID coding options. It features low power consumption and a built-in antenna, ABS housing which allows robust operation. This low frequency RFID reader module provides MSR, ABA and Track 2 interfaces for data communication.

This low frequency RFID reader module belongs to GAO's family of RFID Embedded Modules. This line of RFID embedded modules are easy to integrate into many LF/HF RFID applications. This line also includes 13.56 MHz (HF) High Frequency RFID Reader Module Chip, 13.56 MHz (HF) High Frequency RFID Reader Module Kit, and 13.56 MHz HF RFID Reader Module Substitute - Mag Stripe which are ideal for system integrators providing a high performance, cost-effective platform to provide almost any device with RFID reader technology, and some similar products.
