International Paper And OTA Training, LLC Partner To Offer RFID Training And Certification

International Paper's (IP) Smart Packaging Business and OTA Training, LCC announce a joint partnership to offer Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) training and certification. Using OTA's extensive RFID training courseware, the sessions will take place at International Paper's Customer Solution Center (CSC) in Memphis, Tenn., providing unique hands on demonstration, testing and training. The jointly led courses include one-day and three-day technical training, as well as a five-day RFID certification.

Highly experienced and RFID savvy OTA trainers will teach these courses alongside IP trainers, who have real-world experience with RFID design and implementation. OTA has proprietary and proven RFID courseware that goes beyond the basics offered by other boot-camp lecture courses with its comprehensive, hands-on, vendor-neutral and cross-functional curriculum. The target audience for these courses will be large supply chain customers, including customers of International Paper.

OTA Training, LLC offers RFID extensive training and certification that covers RFID systems from a high-level executive perspective, to a detailed systems approach for implementing RFID. The three-day systems approach course is a series of sessions that allow students to put the courseware into practice at IPSP's Customer Solution Center. The Customer Solution Center is a non-temperature controlled warehouse, complete with concrete walls and floors, metal racking and a host of industrial equipment and RFID solutions that gives customers a real-world warehouse environment. Both OTA's one-day Manager's Perspective course and three-day Systems Approach to RFID Implementation course teach RFID implementation teams to navigate through the complexity of RFID technology from project start to final testing.
