The GAO 214014 reader directly incorporates a standard USB cable and is able to operate on a plug and play basis. This esthetically pleasing RFID reader works in conjunction with Wavetrend Active RFID Tags. Furthermore, included software allows the user to select between monitoring only one tag or many.

GAO's Active RFID Reader offers the following features:

• The reader gain can be adjusted from high to low gain mode dynamically via software.
• Plug & Play.
• This well-designed reader complies with all USB 1.1 standards, and it can interface with any USB hub.
• In stand-alone mode, the RSSI setting can be set dynamically via software to control the read-range of the reader.
• A DLL to interface to the reader is included for simple, transparent interfacing.
