First RFID Solutions Expo And Conference Held In Tokyo
The 1st RFID SOLUTIONS EXPO & CONFERENCE (RIDEX) (www.ridex.jp/en) will gather together all kinds of RFID solutions, has been launched and will be held over three days from June 28 to 30 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. RIDEX is organized by Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a key ubiquitous technology now attracting great attention. RFID is an automatic means of receiving and responding to data on products. It provides efficiency of operation, cost reduction and an improvement in the quality of products and services. RFID Technology has already been put to practical use in JR's RFID train pass (SUICA), inventory control in department stores, construction schedule controls, and in automatic payment systems at commercial facilities such as Amusement Park. RFID market forecasts predict a "big-bang" growth of 31 trillion JPY (265billion US dollars) in economic spin-offs. Therefore, the practical applications of RFID are expected to spread into a wide variety of fields. No such exhibition as RIDEX currently exists, which attracts top influential buyers and sellers and provides them with such valuable business opportunities. Visitors can meet face to face with vendors who provide solutions, while vendors can meet with key contacts involved in decision-making on products and services. RIDEX will undoubtedly contribute significantly to the further development of practical applications of RFID.
RIDEX brings together all kinds of RFID Solutions
RIDEX will mainly showcase total solutions such as inventory/shipment management, manufacturing management, product traceability, SCM etc. and middleware, RFID/IC tag, reader/writer, printer, Chip, consulting service and other related products (label printer, development tool, module). End-users who are willing to introduce and utilize RFID technologies can learn more about available tools and solutions for their current business issues and can compare them on site. Thus, RIDEX attracts attention from end-users and vendors who are seeking to expand their RFID market and further develop their business operations.
More than 2,000 users have already registered for RIDEX
Target visitors are system integrators and end-users from all sectors such as manufacturing, distribution, service, retail, apparel, SI, healthcare, government & public, publications, food and more. More than 2,000 end-users and systems integrators have already pre-registered for RIDEX within a week of its inception, with the majority being end-users. From the numerous requests we have received from end-users we have been made acutely aware of the growing interest in RFID and the ways in which the industry is rapidly expanding.
With this as a backdrop, we expect 75,000 users to attend. Such a body of enthusiastic visitors will bring to the event a lot of excitement.
