EPC Class 3 Semi-Passive RFID Tag Can Be Read And Written To

GAO RFID Inc. has launched its high performance contactless EPC Class 3 semi-passive RFID tag, which can both be read from and written to. It is specifically designed for the management of assets, yards and vehicles. Using Class 3 reader technology, the tag gives an instant response when interrogated. This innovative EPC Class 3 RFID tag, model 136001, operates over frequencies from 860MHz to 960MHz for global use and has an attractive read range of up to 100 meters in a free space. It has a large memory capacity of 64kbits and provides data rates of 8 kb/s, 32 kb/s or 48kb/s for forward link and 2 kb/s, 8 kb/s or 32k kb/s for backward link. The semi-passive RFID tag has a long battery life of up to five years. Additionally, it implements performance similar to active tags yet at a more attractive cost than most active tags.
