DoD RFID Solutions: Providing More Than Just Compliance

With over 2,000 products shipping to the Department of Defense (DoD) and RFID mandates looming, the Cobham plc company, Sargent Fletcher, an El Monte, CA-based manufacturer of aerial parts and refueling systems needed an RFID system to reach compliance.

Sargent Fletcher spent over a year studying RFID, its capabilities and the solutions available. Gary Raney, Customer Support Manager for Sargent Fletcher, was the lead in determining the RFID solution. His team understood the necessary pieces of an RFID system, but knew they needed to outsource the system development and deployment.

For its RFID system, Sargent Fletcher sought the services an experienced RFID integrator, Enterprise Information Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Domino Printing Sciences plc.
