DoD Compliance: KeyTone Introduces RFID DoD Compliance Solution In Collaboration With Zebra Technologies
KeyTone Technologies, a RFID solutions company, recently announced the availability of its RFID Compliance Solution in collaboration with Zebra Technologies . Designed to help U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) suppliers to comply with their RFID mandate, this program helps suppliers to rapidly leverage the investments they make in RFID by enabling them to process orders that require RFID container and Unique Identification (UID) labels, and transmit shipment data automatically to the DoD's World Wide Area Network (WAWF).
KeyTone's RFID Compliance Solution will include an RFID reader, Zebra's R110xi RFID printer/encoder and Gen-2 UHF RFID tags. KeyTone will also provide onsite system installation and user training to ensure the supplier's shipping operation is fully equipped and trained to meet the RFID mandate. The Compliance software is not only operator-friendly, but also provides the ability to get orders from any third-party order management system and process only those orders that meet the DoD's criteria for RFID tagging. In addition, the software also generates the DD-250 form and transmits data to DoD WAWF network in the format that is required.
"KeyTone's program delivers a turnkey solution that meets DoD RFID mandate requirements, with a technology foundation that enables suppliers to improve shipping accuracy and visibility," stated Edwin Winder, KeyTone's Executive Vice President. "Our solution, which incorporates reliable and durable Zebra RFID printer/encoders, is ideal for customers who are still in the discovery phase of RFID implementation and looking to get started quickly without a large upfront capital commitment."
"RFID solutions should aim to adapt to a supplier's current processes and drive high levels of shipment verification and reconciliation with order data. KeyTone's RFID Compliance Solution helps a company achieve these goals while reducing RFID implementation risk," said Steve Park, vice president and general manager of RFID for Zebra. "We are pleased to be a part of KeyTone's robust RFID solution and continue to lead the industry in adopting emerging RFID solutions for compliance and other purposes."
