D-Tech International's RFIQ™ Smart Security System Introduced To K-12 School Libraries

RFIQ™ provides seamless migration path to RFID.

Wildwood Crest, New Jersey (PRWEB) - D-Tech International is pleased to announce the introduction of the RFIQ™ security system for the K-12 school library market. The RFIQ system is the most advanced school security system for the protection of library items designed and developed by D-Tech. The system delivers perimeter-based protection and improved alarm handling capability. Using the same labels as an RFID system but with no software, RFIQ provides a seamless migration path to RFID when budgets become available.

“D-Tech consulted with us to choose the right solution for our school library. We knew we needed to upgrade our security systems now. We didn’t want to limit our choice based on our current budget restraints. We wanted to make sure we were making a sound technology decision that will serve our needs well into the future. The RFIQ system allows us to have a state-of-the art security solution and an upgrade path to RFID without having to replace the systems,” said Sherry Rainosek, Victoria West High School Librarian in Victoria, TX.

Combined with D-Tech’s new M180 antennas, labels and staff pads, the RFIQ system is a more cost-effective solution than currently available EM systems. Ongoing costs are significantly less, and the system can be upgraded to RFID to take advantage of advanced features. The system is simply upgraded with the RFID software and RFID wand to facilitate features such as fast inventory taking and item search.

“We pride ourselves in working with our clients to choose the right set of products that address their operational needs. RFIQ is an ideal package for the K-12 school library as they face dwindling budgets and limitations on their time. The system provides very high detection rates, no false alarms and antennas that can span more than five feet. It’s a technology solution that will expand as our customers’ needs evolve,” said Marvin Crisp, President of D-Tech International.
