Advanced ID Establishes Pricing Breakthrough And Offers US$0.40 UHF-RFID Tire Tags To The Global Tire Industry

Advanced ID Corporation in cooperation with major global tire manufacturers is responding to the industry needs for high-quality and cost-effective RFID tire tags. The 40 cents per tag price goes into effect once a total quantity of 10 million tags is ordered to activate the pricing. The global tire manufacturing industry has an annual automotive and light truck production level of approximately 700 million tires.

According to Bill Hoffman, Vice President of Advanced ID and Chairman of the AIAG RFID Tire and Wheel Identification Workgroup, "Our Company is dedicated to moving the tire tag project into a global product. To that end, we have prepared a very aggressive price-at-a-quantity position. One important benefit of our offer is that we will work with and will accept purchase orders for quantities less than 10 million from interested parties until the total quantity is met. We will then offer the total quantity price to all of the participants that helped us reach the 10 million piece quantity. There will be a minimum quantity required to participate."

Advanced ID's UHF/RFID tire tag system is based on ISO and AIAG standards and is available for use by all global tire manufacturers.
