Track and Manage Your Critical
Assets in One Smart Move
About TrenStar
TrenStar’s vision is to become the gold standard for asset tracking and
management solutions. Our asset management, supply chain technology and
logistics services significantly reduce operational costs, improve return on
investments and enhance business processes for our customers. In the longer
term our aim is to do this not only for our customers, but for entire
industries as well. In everything we do for our customers, we will deliver
results.
TrenStar’s history is steeped in leveraging Auto ID technology to track
and manage assets. Since our inception in 2001, our mission has been to
provide visibility into the supply chain for our customers’ asset fleets –
reducing operating expenses, improving return on investment and creating
actionable business intelligence from the vast amount of data generated by
these asset management implementations.
TrenStar’s end-to-end solutions include:
We have extensive and unrivaled experience in asset tracking and
management, and, in certain niche industries, have actually acquired the
majority of assets ourselves (brewing and synthetic rubber for example). By
doing so,we actually use our own track and trace technology to manage our
fleets, and now leverage that invaluable experience in designing
implementations for our customer base. We bring that experience directly to
customers who want to use our proven technology to more effectively track
and manage their assets.
TrenStar is deeply rooted in the use of Auto ID technology for asset
tracking and management applications. In 2001 TrenStar Inc acquired leading
edge middleware provider KTP (based in the UK) which became the heart of
TrenStar’s Auto ID Smart Center. TrenStar’s UK operation has been delivering
Auto ID solutions since 1977, and installed its first RFID asset tracking
project in 1998 – one of the first companies in the industry to do so.
TrenStar is also the first company to offer its unique combination of
technology and services to support the pooling of common, non-strategic
containers and other mobile assets. Industry asset pooling helps
participating companies achieve savings and economies of scale that they
could not achieve on their own.
Consistently ranked as one of the top software developers in the Denver
area and named to the 2006 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 in North America,
TrenStar has offices in Denver, the United Kingdom Germany and South
Africa.

Airlines and cargo operators have a history of
outsourcing key operational activities to outside suppliers, yet outsourcing
ULD management has not been one of them. That is until Lufthansa Cargo and
TrenStar introduced their joint venture Jettainer in December 2003.
Jettainer helps airlines break through the barriers of excess ULD inventory,
traffic imbalances, low utilization and hidden holding costs. Jettainer has
created the first outsourced solution for the airline industry that
efficiently manages and tracks ULDs and their contents as they travel around
the world, and the first to support the formation and management of a global
ULD pool.

Our Auto ID based rack management solution tracks the
returnable metal racks that glass producers use to transport product. It
uses tracking enablers such as RFID (link to RFID page) to track glass racks
and their contents through the supply chain including the automated capture
of empty racks at the float plant receiving areas, the association of rack
ID with contents, and automated capture of full racks at the dispatch areas.
This solution increases visibility, helps limit losses, increases the
utilization and availability of your rack fleet and ultimately improves
customer service and allows you to focus on your business. |

The inability to track equipment location, usage, service and maintenance causes companies to lose money on lease and service agreements. Lost, stolen, or broken heavy equipment can cost a company hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets as well as thousands in lost productivity and revenue. TrenStar can help you with inventory control, theft recovery, preventive and proactive maintenance (reduction of downtime), performance information, engine hours, and geo-fencing. |
