RFID Inlays – A Critical Link

RFID inlays are the antenna and microchip that contain the data in an RFID system - a critical link between the tagged item and the hardware, software and databases in a data collection system. RFID inlays are often required to perform on a myriad of materials and in diverse environments, any of which could challenge RF functionality. Avery Dennison's RFID inlay design experts and applications engineers leverage decades of experience to create products that overcome these real-world challenges.

We painstakingly test our inlays in simulated "real-world" environments at our RFID Technical Support Centers in Atlanta, Georgia and Luxembourg in Europe. The technical centers are fully equipped to provide RFID testing, as well as consultation and training to end users, systems integrators and other companies interested in evaluating RFID solutions to solve business process challenges.

RFID Labels – Guaranteed RFID

Avery Dennison manufactures the labels and processes the RFID inlay insertion in our manufacturing facilities Avery Dennison RFID supplies are perfect for some of the most challenging RFID applications in the retail supply chain, including item level marking, retail compliance, retail tags, asset tracking, and more.

RFID Printer/Encoders – Reliable and Versatile

Monarch® 9855™RFMP and Monarch® 9855™HF printer/encoders from Avery Dennison are specially designed printers that write to RFID chips embedded in thermal direct or transfer barcode labels and tags. The printer tests the chip, writes the RFID code to the chip, verifies that the information is correct and prints human readable and bar code data on the label.

Avery Dennison RFID solutions are used by retailers such as Marks & Spencer and apparel manufacturers such as VF Corporation. We are a vertically integrated printing systems manufacturer, not a reseller of someone else's printer and supplies. Like the Monarch RFID labels, the Monarch printer/encoders are engineered, designed and built at our ISO-9001 certified facility in Miamisburg OH.

Item Level RFID

Avery Dennison is a pioneer in item level RFID. If you are an apparel or soft goods manufacturer who does business with a major retailer, you need to learn about item level RFID. We can help you determine what solution is right for you with a free diagnostic analysis process that examines your unique supply chain operations and helps you decide:

  • The right time for RFID item implementation
  • Solution sets to optimize the power of RFID at the item level
  • ROI based on hard benefits calculations

Our consultants will work with you to gain a thorough understanding of what you are striving to achieve with item level RFID. We'll spend time in your facilities to fully understand your day-to-day processes and challenges. And we'll work with you to develop item level RFID solution customized to your challenges, processes and goals.
