Haldor Significantly Expands Its RFID Track & Trace Patent Portfolio

Cherry Hill, NJ (PRWEB) - Haldor Advanced Technologies (Haldor), a pioneer in RFID-enabled Track & Trace solutions for the healthcare industry, has further strengthened its ORLocate® patent portfolio around Track & Trace surgical items in general, and RFID communication solutions in particular. Haldor® was recently granted a new key patent demonstrating its ongoing commitment to innovation and leadership of the RFID’s surgical items Track & Trace market.

A recently allowed United States Patent, titled "Mobile handheld antenna for reading tags,” covers fundamental RFID communication capabilities between Haldor’s proprietary readers and surgical items that are marked with tags, more specifically, RFID tags. This seminal patent provides broad coverage on fundamental RFID-enabled technology around Track & Trace solutions and services in healthcare environments, and specifically as it relates to Track & Trace workflows and use cases of surgical items in hospital’s Operating Rooms and Sterile Processing Departments. Haldor® has a very strong patent Intellectual Property (IP) position surrounding RFID-enabled communication, especially combining this new patent with Haldor’s existing IP portfolio.

“We continue to expand our IP scope by filing new applications and actively maintaining a strong, well-planned patent portfolio,” said Ilan Kadosh-Tamari, CEO of Haldor Advanced Technologies. “Our pending patents portfolio and this newly allowed patent complement Haldor’s active IP strategy—putting us in a dominant position in the IP landscape for Track & Trace RFID-enabled technologies—and serve as a substantial barrier of entry for others contemplating copying Haldor’s solution.”

Haldor® continues to develop innovative technologies that transform the way hospitals interact with surgical items and ultimately improves patient safety and operational efficiency in both the Operating Room and the Sterile Processing Department.
