ACCESS Event Solutions (AES), formerly ACCESS Pass & Design, is revolutionizing the live event market with the inception of ACCESS Event Technology Platform, a state-of-the-art system which creates unlimited options for promoters, sponsors and venues when it comes to credential management.

With the Event Technology Platform, clients can increase production efficiency, brand value, attendee experience and even event safety. Since the software is flexible and configurable, clients can work seamlessly with ticketing partners to sync data, make access changes in real time, and enable creative sponsorship activations and more with the click of a button. The encoded wristbands and badges are read easily with the use of kiosks and handhelds which can all be customized with brand-sponsored logos and wraps. The platform works in real time allowing clients to monitor data with easy-to-understand dashboards and pull post-event reports with ease.

The dynamic access control features allow ease of use when controlling tiered entry levels, scheduling, area capacity and pass authentication (including remote inactivation). With voucher management, event producers can also manage worker meals, hours worked and even VIP tracking and reward redemption.

The technology was in full force during 2014’s HARD Summer festival in which more than 15,000 RFID-enabled wristbands and badges were designed, manufactured, activated and distributed to VIPs, artists, guests and workers. The tech-enabled credentials, devices and software allowed HARD Summer and the team at Live Nation to facilitate tiered levels of access control, hour-by-hour stage access for guests, meal vouchers for catering redemption and the ability to monitor operations in real time.

From a sponsorship side, the platform technology creates real value by introducing new and exciting ways to target an audience. From auto-rewarding attendees with increased access levels and reward vouchers to leveraging the client’s Personalized Attendee Portal to deliver coupons and branded photos and posts attendees can easily share on social media. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas recently used the platform to create a branded VIP experience during an Ed Sheeran concert. When VIPs took a branded photo and uploaded it to their personal social media page, the software automatically added a complimentary sponsor-branded drink to their wristband which was redeemable at the bar.

Another VIP activation took place prior to the start of the Daytona 500, where NASCAR held a private event in conjunction with the national public health campaign DRIVE4COPD. The platform was used with the event’s NFC-enabled custom VIP passes for the 600 guests, each badge assigned to that particular VIP. When guests tapped their pass to the ACCESS Event Technology smartphone reader, they were greeted by name and granted admission. Simultaneously, an SMS text was automatically sent to the NASCAR account manager notifying them of the VIP arrival. Previously, the event used paper lists and highlighters for event check in and had no immediate way to pull real time check in info.
