Presentation: RFID Frequencies Tutorial

Source: RFID, Inc.

This slide presentation by RFID, Inc. illustrates, in detail, the various uses of 125 KHz RFID in industrial identification. 125 KHz Low Frequency (LF) RFID tags are known as being robust, durable replacements for bar code or other fragile identification technologies, and typically more expensive than other passive tag frequencies.

Industrial identification is typically used in process controls (manufacturing floor), AGVs (automated guided vehicles)Authentication/Verification (printers, UV bulbs, fluids, paints), vehicle identification, personnel identification, and specialized markets (gas bottles, oil & gas pipe, pharmaceutical).
