The new SmartShelf SMSH module is a thin and lightweight RFID patch antenna that is optimized for integration in Kanban systems, shelf or PoS applications.

Due to the special antenna design, it can be used without a specific housing. Operation in a metallic environment is possible without interference, so the system integrator has all freedom for integration into industry-specific solutions.

The SmartShelf SMSH module has an intelligent bypass function enabling cascading of up to 32 SMSH modules per KRAI Reader. In addition to the read result, the spatial allocation of the transponder is also available.

Compared to non-smart multiplex switches or so-called antenna hubs, equally high transmission power is available on each SMSH module, so the user can expect a consistent read performance on each individual antenna.

To simplify installation and allocation, all connected SMSH antennas and characteristics are automatically identified by the KRAI Reader and can be set in the Reader Start configuration software.
