TrenStar Granted U.S.Patent For RFID Asset Management System
June 17, 2008
TrenStar recently announced that it has been awarded a patent for its RFID Asset Management Process. As the most comprehensive of the RFID tracking patent claims applied for to date, the patent was granted based on TrenStar's ability to capture data from multiple points, transmit unique asset identifiers to a data network, and then configure that network to provide detailed asset movement data in the form of custom reports.
"This new patent is indicative of TrenStar's history of innovation in the field of RFID-enabled asset tracking and management," said Edward R. Flaherty, TrenStar's President and CEO. "Our patented process begins and ends with how the data is ultimately used."
TrenStar's approach to tracking and managing assets has always centered on driving business critical information back to its client base. "Having the ability to capture the data was always just a starting point for us," said Flaherty. "The ability to provide our clients with the kind of data that would allow them to ultimately improve their business processes has always been our prime objective."
According to Denise Garcia, Chief Marketing Officer, "We've always maintained that the true value of this technology is in the information that it brings to our clients, and the ability to use that information to drive value to the bottom line."
TrenStar was granted the patent because its process did not conclude with simply capturing data, but instead focused on taking the process to the next level by storing, analyzing and granting its users access to that data in various forms.
