New RFID Asset Tracking Software Prevents Retail Shrink

An RFID Asset Tracking Software was recently released by Bowh Incorporated and was displayed at the NRF Loss Prevention show in Orlando on June 23. The Software is a packaged RFID solution which can support five fixed readers and unlimited hand held units. The "Smart EAS function" allows the server to link with a Point-of-Sale system for real time reporting and event monitoring.

"What a difference", says Bob Jacobs with Up Against the Wall. "Now when the EAS system sounds off our employees will know the exact item leaving the store". The system has also redefined the physical inventories. "The old procedure was a team of store associates taking hours to scan each item. Now one associate will walk the store with a hand held and maybe spend another half hour reconciling the exceptions."

"Our software development team has been working hard over the last few years to develop a scalable RFID application that will retail under $3000", stated CEO Matthew Sipos. "The Company wanted to offer a product to retailers that would allow them to deploy an affordable RFID solution with an immediately ROI".

Bowh has teamed with the RFID Solution Center in Dayton Ohio to offer a Bowh RFID retail training class. The first class will be on July 30-31 at the training center in Dayton, Ohio. Participants will start with basic RFID concepts and end with a complete RFID retail installation. The class will be a practical application class using a retail training store in the RFID Solutions Center.

"The Bowh RFID solution has changed the way we inventory our watches. Controlling our inventory is very important at TAG Heuer", stated Renee at TAG Heuer in Orlando, Florida.

The software comes with a standard accounting and Point of Sale integration table that allows a direct link. Items added or sold will automatically be updated in the Bowh RFID Server. The ability to determine if an item was sold when it left the store and act appropriately is a major benefit to our EAS system.
