Animal ID Solutions To Resell NCR TransitionWorks Software

NCR Corporation and Animal ID Solutions Inc. recently announced an agreement naming Animal ID Solutions an NCR RealPartner and reseller of the NCR TransitionWorks portfolio of automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) software solutions in Canada and the United States.

Animal ID Solutions, a systems integrator and consulting services company specializing in animal authentication technologies, including radio frequency identification (RFID) and DNA footprints, will market and implement NCR TransitionWorks as part of its traceability solution for animal associations. The product allows for faster and more reliable identification, authentication and tracking of animals.

"NCR TransitionWorks allows us to offer our clients a strategic choice that meets current database and reporting requirements," said Anne Olscher, president, Animal ID Solutions. "We're able to seamlessly integrate the software for RFID, DNA footprints, biometrics and future auto-identification technologies."

With an initial focus on the equine market, Animal ID Solutions enables associations to collect and evaluate information on animal movement through a Web-based database using its Animal Signaturing, which helps ensure integrity of breed pedigree and assists handlers in identifying and isolating safety and security concerns for people and animals.

NCR TransitionWorks is designed to readily assimilate and manage information from various AIDC devices, including RFID-based technologies. The solution resolves costly time challenges and ensures ease of integration with new or existing data-capture devices, allowing users to quickly collect, interpret and move large amounts of data from multiple sources.

The NCR RealPartner program provides NCR resellers the sales, marketing and support they need to be successful with NCR products, including NCR TransitionWorks and predefined AIDC application packages.

NCR and Animal ID Solutions will be exhibiting in booth No. 7 at the upcoming IDoINFO EXPO 2007, an industry event for technologies and trends in animal identification and traceability, Aug. 28-30, in Kansas City, Kan.
